Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Steps Block application ("App") operated by Steps Block ("we," "us," or "our").

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Steps Block, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Steps Block is a wellness application that helps users manage their screen time by requiring daily step goals to be met before accessing selected applications. The App:

• Reads step count data from Apple Health
• Uses Apple's Screen Time API to restrict app access
• Allows users to set daily step goals and wake times
• Provides a subscription-based service

Subscription and Payment

Steps Block requires a paid subscription to access its features.

• Pricing: The subscription is billed monthly at the rate displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase.
• Billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Management: You can manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies.

User Responsibilities

By using Steps Block, you agree to:

• Use the App only for its intended purpose of managing personal screen time
• Not attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the App's functionality
• Not use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Ensure you have the necessary device permissions enabled for the App to function

Health Disclaimer

Steps Block is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. The step counting feature relies on Apple Health data and may not be 100% accurate. Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting any exercise program.

The calorie estimates and health projections shown in the App are approximations for motivational purposes only and should not be relied upon for medical decisions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Steps Block is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the past 12 months

App Blocking Limitations

You acknowledge and understand that:

• iOS allows users to disable Screen Time restrictions through device settings
• The App cannot guarantee absolute enforcement of app blocking
• The App is designed as a self-improvement tool, not a parental control or enterprise management solution
• Step count data depends on your device's sensors and Apple Health accuracy

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, content, and Blocky mascot, is owned by Steps Block and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use our trademarks or branding without permission
• Create derivative works based on the App

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or by updating this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You agree to waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and Steps Block, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App. Apple is not responsible for any product warranties or claims relating to the App. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your use of it.
